Why daycare?

If I have a nervous separation anxiety pet, will they afraid to come to daycare? Afraid or unsure is the bigger question. Will your dog have more opportunity to grow if they are around more people and more dogs. They learn to socialize in a different environment vs. being at home. They tend to do better when they are not around the owners. we love to see dogs come out of their shell and grow once they start coming to daycare.

Should I be nervous that my dog is boarding?

Everyone is nervous about leaving their pet for the first time. Some of our clients compare it to taking their child to school for the first time. We reassure them that their pet will enjoy being out of their kennel all day long vs going for walks 3 times a day. We want the owner to know that they will be monitored by outside monitoring systems and cameras. We want the owner to know that we are here not wonder if my pet sitter showed up on time.

Why won't my dog walk on the leash nicely?

Your dog doesn't know the rules and what it means to walk on the leash correctly. Most dogs want to protect or meet. They want to go smell the other dog, or protect you from the other person coming toward you. We can't blame them because that is their job. When we teach your dog to walk on the leash, they get it. Now its time to teach you what the rules are so your dog will understand what it means to walk on the leash correctly. Honestly, teaching the dog takes less time than teaching the human.

All dogs can become aggressive, but the difference between an aggressive Chihuahua and an aggressive pit bull is that the pit bull can do more damage. That's why it's important to make sure you are a hundred percent ready for the responsibility if you own a 'power' breed, like a pit bull, German shepherd, or Rottweiler.
